We seem to go at exactly the same time during the month of October every year to go get our pumpkins and this year the weather was about 20 degrees cooler than last year! I was super happy about this because it felt more like an actual fall activity haha
Andie was so excited to go pick pumpkins, especially since we told her she could pick her very own little pumpkin to put in her room 🙂 We headed straight to the back of Hunt Club Farm where they keep all the little pumpkins for the kids to pick and let her go!
She ended up picking one and then two more because well, Daddy can’t say no to that little girl. Then we went and picked out two larger pumpkins for our front porch. The two extra little pumpkins ended up working out perfectly because they have a spot on our fireplace!
$25 later, we left with our pumpkins and a big smile from our little girl who got to hold her little pumpkin all the way home 🙂
What are your favorite family fall activities?! Would love some more ideas 🙂
Andie is no longer content just hanging out lounged back in the corner of a chair or couch, she is much more interested in sitting up like a big girl all on her own! It’s so cute, I’m loving it!! She can sit up for much longer periods now but she hasn’t completely mastered her balance yet. She’s on her way!
This past week was Andie’s 1st Halloween and we were SO excited to dress her up! I had originally wanted to make something myself but with everything going on, I just never got the chance which is fine since I never really could decide on what I wanted her to be. While out at Target to grab a few things, Daniel and I were looking in the baby department and saw some super cute little costumes on clearance so we picked one up for Andie–you can’t beat $7.68 people!!
My little Minnie Mouse!! I think it ended up being the perfect little first costume for her–she had the biggest smiles the entire time she was dressed up so I think she really enjoyed it 🙂 Since there are no trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood, we went over to my parents’ house (people actually drive to their neighborhood to go trick-or-treating) and had fun handing out candy with them. Daniel and I even went through the haunted garage the neighbor at the end of the street had; it was actually very good! Apparently, he spent about 3 months putting it all together–so fun! I can’t wait until next year when we can actually take Andie out to trick-or-treat and make her a fun costume–it’ll be so much better when she can actually walk!
The Sunday following Halloween, the 3 of us decided last minute to go visit Daniel’s brother in Charlottesville which was fun! The kids are so cute together and were able to interact a lot more than the last time they were together. I can’t wait for them to get older and really play with one another! We also did a little fall photo shoot with them and got some adorable pictures. We’ve got some freaking cute kids!!
I mean…..wow….there is no denying their cuteness. Not one bit. It was a nice couple of days visiting with family and getting out of town for a little while! On our way back we weren’t in a rush at all so we decided to stop at the outlets in Williamsburg. We headed straight for Carter’s and got Andie a pair of soft soled shoes, a one-piece cold weather jumpsuit type thing, and a lamby that she can love on 🙂 We also found a really cute denim button-down onesie at Baby Gap for $6! Woo!
